Fuzzy Bear Ewok Look
When my fur grows out, I start to morph into a hairy ewok. For those of you who don't know what an ewok is, watch Starwars and you'll know. Daddy says I am a hybrid between an ewok and a teddy bear, Mum just thinks I'm messy but still hug-able. Uh-oh, you know what that means? Here are some close up shots of me taken today, as Mum was playing around with adjusting aperture and shutter speeds on her SLR.

One of the benefits of eating raw food is that I don't have to endure teeth brushing. My teeth stays mostly white and clean, with no tartar on my teeth or nasty stuff in my gums. For a dog who is almost 3 years old, I think my teeth are doing surprisingly well. About once a month, Mum uses a dental scaler to remove any from my back molars, and that's it. Crunching and gnawing on bones provide good massage for my teeth and gums, which encourages good blood circulation to my gums, and strengthen dental roots. The tendons on intact meat on bones act like floss, cleaning out between my teeth.

I think you look cute all fuzzy & grimy. Your teefies are very white. Those bones are like dental floss...Oh-oh, does it mean that it's grooming time again???

Hi Solid Gold Dancer,
Yup, I've been panting now that spring is upon us, and I'm getting hot, wearing this thick fur coat around, and my hair is growing SO fast!! Mum might want to start plucking my hair out in early June.
My grandmother and grandfather from Germany are coming to visit me for the very first time, my Mummy wants me to be in tip top condition, so that I can impress them.
They are coming in July, and I need 2-3 weeks for my hair to grow out and look perfect, so seems like early June is the best time for grooming again. Oh dear.

You have beautiful teeth, Kimi, and you are one handsome boy! Your fur is about the same length as mine is and mom is saying it's grooming time for me too but I'm clipped, not stripped like you!

You have gorgeous teefies, Kimi! Our mom bought us some raw meaty bones, but we didn't know what to do with them. She said something about it being a shame that she had to teach her dogs to be DOGS!

What nice teethies you have Kimi! I still have nice white teethies cos me only be 8 months old, but hopefully they'll stay that way. Big Harry's be yellow cos I don't think his old family looked after them much. Now he has them brushed every week and chews bones and they be lots better, still yellow, but no yucky tartar.

My girl's fave thing about feeding me raw is the no teeth brushing aspect. You give us hope that as long as I keep gnawing on bones I'll have healthy teeth like you.
