An Ode to Dogs (from Sheila)

I would like to dedicate this entry as an Ode to my dogs. Without them, I would not know how to navigate through my world, I would not know how to make sense of all the darkness that surrounds me. My dogs bring hope in my moments of despair, my dogs give me reasons to get up, think positive and be productive, their existence reminds me to take care of someone else instead of being absorbed in my misery.

Kimi and Rummy, I do not know what I'd be without you. With all that is within me, I thank you, and I am humbled by your deep unconditional love for me, I love you forever and ever. This song is for you both, it speaks from my heart.

You fill up my senses
Like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime
Like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert
Like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses
Come fill me again

Come let me love you
Let me give my life to you
Let me drown in your laughter
Let me die in your arms
Let me lay down beside you
Let me always be with you
Come let me love you
Come love me again

You fill up my senses
Like a night in a forest
Like the mountains in springtime
Like a walk in the rain
Like a storm in the desert
Like a sleepy blue ocean
You fill up my senses
Come fill me again

A song by John Denver

Much love,
Sheila Wagner
