Spring Time Gardening

Spring has officially arrived, and the plants are thriving. All the daffodils and tulips that the humans have planted are starting to bloom and bud. The bees are out flying about and insects are aplenty. The country life is soaked in sunshine, and we canines are happy.
Rob decided to use the weed whacker to trim the grass, and mow and lawn. This was really Rummy's first time seeing the lawn mower in action and he hung back (as you can see from the above picture). My baby brother wasn't too sure what to make of it. Me on the other hand, I just took it all in stride. Normally, I'm the scaredy cat of the two, but now Rummy is showing some apprehension. Finally.
After a while of waiting for Rob to get it all together, Rummy decided to bask in the wonderful sunshine and chew on a nice stick. There are tonnes of toys in our natural surroundings that can become toys for us. Isn't it great? Mum is learning to love it more and more, being in the country. She remembers the song by John Denver, about feeling happy when sunshine touches her shoulders, and how her eyes well up with tears when sun shines in her eyes.
As you can see, we are both in need of some handstripping, and we've got some grooming to do.
Rummy investigates the weed whacker closer and the plastic thread which is used to cut grass. It makes a loud noise and the smell of the fuel is stinky.
Canines investigating what's new around the yard.

It is so early in Spring, and yet it feels like summer. Is this a sign of Global Warming? Should we be alarmed? It is normally freezing cold here in Spring up in the NorthWest. We even have snow in April, so this warm weather is truly unusual. But we dogs just want to have fun.

Hugs,
Kimi

We've been out and about in our garden too and enjoying the sunshine.

You boys look like great Teddy bears in your winter furs. It's grooming time here too very soon.

Mum says 'Bring back Global Warming!' She's been FAR too cold this Winter!

Hi Rummy and Kimi,
I love sticks too! I've collected loads when Mummy made a new fence in the garden so I don't walk all over her Spring plants, hehe!
Your garden looks nice!

I don't like the lawn mower either, Rummy! I'd prefer to stay inside when its cutting grass. Mitch doesn't mind it as much! We're glad spring has arrived too!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
